Just some fun for people reading the blog. What’s your favourite splatter novel? Could it be THE FOG by James Herbert or NIGHT OF THE CRABS by Guy N Smith. Prehaps something from the splatterpunk era like Skipp & Spector’s vampire scare-fest THE LIGHT AT THE END? Maybe the story of Jack Eichord Vs “Chaingang” Bunkowski in SLOB or Ketchum’s Dead River cannibal classic OFF SEASON. The infamous LIVE GIRLS by Ray Garton? How about something more recent like Keene’s zombie debut THE RISING, James A Moore’s BLOOD RED or J.F. Gonzalez’s snuff novel SURVIVOR? Just to get you started… What’s your favourite?

INBRED – the movie

Watch out for the new Alex Chandon film, INBRED – the movie, which was filmed on location here in Thirsk. The film was scripted by a close friend of mine, Mr Paul Shrimpton, and has just done the festival circuit. Watch the trailer here:

Hello and welcome to Splatterpunk a printed horror zine publishing new fiction, anything from James Herbert’s classic debut ‘The Rats’ in 1974 to present writers of splatter.
The first issue will hopefully be available in March.
